Day 6, Wednesday, June 22

More highway miles. This time I made it to Minneapolis. Here again, I’d intended to spend a couple of days but am running late in my plans to meet Tania in Yellowstone on the 26th or 27th. I spent night with my best friends from high school, the Chungs. Hiep and Thi (brother and sister) were my second family in Minnesota. Hiep and his wife Mei have two daughters Le Ann and Jasmine Jade, Thi and her husband Tanto have a son, Draco. (There’s a picture of all of the kids on my bike below this entry) Having them greet me with a hug and “Hi Uncle Britton!” is amazing to me. Hiep and Mei live down in Las Vegas and I’ll be visiting them later in the trip. Like Jen and John in Chicago, Hiep and Thi are not friends.... in every sense of the word they are truly family.
