Day 3, Sunday, June 19

After a morning of errands and motorcycle maintenance, I drove up to Kent Ohio to visit with Asad and Beth Khan. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Asad since 1991 where we met at the College of Wooster. Friends simply do not get any better than Asad. Beth is actually the sister of Asad’s old Wooster roommate, David Swartz (sp?) I’m not sure I’ve ever met a couple which were so obviously meant to be together. I consider myself lucky to have them as friends and I’ll look forward to meeting their son who’s due some time in the fall. I’m sure they’ll be great parents. Beth pointed out that I’d not seen Asad since this time last year when Asad, Joe, Kevin Mitchell, Andreas Schulne (sp?) and I took a mountain biking trip to Moab, and even worse that I’d not seen Beth since their wedding! It’s always amazing with these two, every time I see them, regardless of how long it’s been, it only seems like days since the last time. That’s a mark of true friends!
