Day 192, Monday, December 12

I left San Diego this morning and rode through AZ to Benton, just East of Tucson. It was a completely uneventful trip. I’ve got to make sure it’s not so long between times when I see Peter this time. It’s been significantly over a year since last time and that’s a HUGE mistake. We’re incredibly different people but I really enjoy his company. I know plenty of siblings who don’t care for each other and I consider myself very fortunate to have Peter as such a close friend.
AZ hasn’t had any rain at all for the last three months. Wouldn’t you know that just as I decide to start heading East toward home, the first storm front of the summer has to materialize? I rode through patches of rain for much of the day today and it’s supposed to rain a lot more tonight. I was hoping not to deal with rainy weather on this last leg of my trip, but it looks like I’m in for it.
