Day 161, Saturday, November 12

Debbie made French toast for breakfast then I went for a ride with Leon Russo. He and I also stopped breakfast at a small café in Ventura where he lives. After breakfast, we rode for several hours and, at the tail end of the ride, stopped at a Harley Davidson dealership for Leon to get a bell for one of his buddies. When I say a bell, I mean a little cast iron bell which is supposed to hung from the motorcycle as close to the road as possible in order to ward off bad spirits from the road. You see them on a lot of Harleys out here. Leon surprised me and got one for me also. I have no clue where I’m going to mount it on my bike since most of the bottom of the bike is covered by a fairing.
I had dinner tonight with Debbie at a Mexican restaurant in Malibu. After dinner we went over to pick up Debbie’s daughter from a friend’s house there in Malibu. We arrived to find Debbie’s daughter horrified by the fact that she’d clogged a toilet which had overflowed all over the bathroom. Very traumatic for an 8 year old!
