Day 47, Monday, Aug 1

This was one of the rare days of simple relaxation I’ve had on this trip. I hung out at Cliff’s house and worked on journal entries and organizing photos for most of the day. Cliff had some errands to run and the grand sum of my accomplishments for today was a hair cut, playing with Cliff’s Australian Shepard, Jake, and writing 6 or 7 pages of journal entries. Tomorrow, I think Cliff and I are going to head over to Reno to help one of his buddies move some furniture, to get a day pack for me at REI, and then to go to Hot August Nights (the car show extravaganza going on this week in Reno). I’d initially thought I was going to get the oil changed in my motorcycle in Reno, but I think I’ll put it off to Portland instead. Putting off the oil change until Portland will allow me to get over to Glacier, through all of BC, and back into Seattle before needing another oil change. I think I’ll head over to Lake Tahoe on Wednesday and then from there I’ll start heading North.
